My grandson, though only 6, seems to have a fairly good grasp on things spiritual.
His mommy and his Daddy have raised him in the Baptist Faith, a bit calmer than my own Pentecostal Church.
One Sunday night, my grandson was at church with me. It was one of those old fashioned pentecostal kind of services. He sat quietly watching, not saying a word.
A friend of ours, who was praying at the altar, fell out on the floor. My grandson jumped up, eyes wide. After a moment, he sat back down.
Realizing that he was not used to pentecostal altar services, I asked him if he understood what was going on. Nodding, he said, “Oh yeah, I understand. Mr. John has a lot but he needs more and now he’s gettin’ it!”
Sometimes we don’t understand how God moves in the hearts of people. Some people dance, yell, fall out or run. Some stand quietly and rejoice while others may cry.
God has created us as individuals; but each of us in His own image. Every person is created with a heart that will give worship and praise in its own way.
We can not say that the person running or jumping is out of God’s will. Nor can we say that the person in quiet worship is not free in the spirit.
The one thing we can say is that no matter how our hearts worship God; when we seek Him, He will give us more than we can ever ask for.
Because He created us to love Him; He put no limits on how our hearts respond to His love for us.
Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
